Here's a small sampling of the natural treasures we've helped preserve over the years.

Prairie Creek — Perrin Lansing Chapter members and local landowners obtained a grant to TU’s Embrace a Stream program to focus on log jam removal, installation of 20 instream habitat structures, tree and shrub plantings, and improvement of one mile of trail for angler access. More…

Red Cedar River - The Perrin Lansing Chapter has adopted a section of the Red Cedar River in Lansing starting just upstream of Kruger’s Landing near the river’s intersection with Aurelius Road to downstream near Potter Park where the river intersects S. Pennsylvania Avenue. Clean-up and monitoring programs along the reach are held regularly. Watch the Web site calendar for future events.

Guide’s Rest, Au Sable River — Members of the Perrin Lansing Chapter TU completed installation of 15 6-ft cages to protect the maturing northern white cedars planted on the main branch of the Au Sable River at Guide’s Rest. On Saturday, June 29, 2019; twenty previously installed cages were removed completely to allow the growing cedars to continue to grow without the need of protection from browsing deer. More…
